Pastor, Mark Reon

Jackson Memorial Baptist Church welcomes Rev. Mark Reon and his family. Mark began his tenure with us January 4, 2009. Prior to serving at JMBC, Mark's ministry experiences include serving as pastor, church planter and youth minister.  Mark mixes humor with biblical knowledge as he presents the relevant message of God's Word to our congregation.

Minister of Education and Administration

H.B. Jackie Allen, Jr. joined the staff in 1995. A graduate of Mars Hill College in North Carolina and Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. Jackie is a "hands on" administrator and a "behind the scenes" educator. He works hard and possesses a caring heart for people and their needs. He is driven by a sense of God's purpose.

Minister to Students and Singles

Nabeel Qureshi, minister to students and singles, is a former Ahmadi Muslim.  After several years of investigating the arguments for Christianity and Islam, he became a Christian due to a combination of evidence, dreams, and visions. Nabeel holds a Masters Degree in Christian Apologetics from Biola University, and he has completed his Medical Doctorate at Eastern Virginia Medical School.  Nabeel began his ministry here at JMBC in the summer of 2009.  Nabeel's wife Michelle is employed with the United States Coast Guard.  Email Nabeel at n.qureshi@jacksonmemorial.org

Music Director

Mary Davis has served in various areas of JMBC’s Music Ministry since 1994 and joined the staff in 2002. She studied music at Liberty University and is a graduate of Old Dominion University. Mary has a passion for music and it is said that you know when Mary is in the building because you can hear her singing or humming.

Church Secretary

Vickie Elias joined our staff in 2004. She and her husband Russell, have made Hampton Roads their home since 1981. Vickie enjoys working with people and has a passion for events planning.

Financial / Outreach & Records Secretary

Sara Small joined our office staff in 2005 in dual role of Financial Secretary, and Outreach and Records Secretary. However, she began her service at JMBC in 2001 as a teacher in our Preschool Development Center. Sara has a servant attitude and always has a smile for those she meets.

Preschool Ministry Coordinator

Denise Cox has been a member of JMBC since 1992. Through the years, she has been actively involved in a variety of ministries. Denise joined the Staff in the Summer of 2005. As Preschool Ministry Coordinator, she uses creative and fun ideas to teach God's Word to preschoolers.

Custodian

James Pitchard joined the staff in 1993. The title of custodian does not cover all the jobs Jim does for our church. He has a "can do" attitude and is the first to arrive and often the last to leave.
