Senior Pastor

Dr. Tommy Larson has served as the pastor of Jackson Memorial Baptist since 2015. Since entering pastoral ministry in 2001, his passion has been to faithfully preach God’s Word, shepherd God’s people, and proclaim the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University and both a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
Tommy and his wife, Daina, have been blessed with three grown children and two grandchildren. Whether spending time with family, reading, enjoying a round of golf, or cheering for JMU athletics, he is thankful for the many ways God has blessed his life and ministry.
His life verse is Psalm 37:4: “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” It reflects his desire to find joy in Christ and to encourage others to do the same.
Children’s Minister

Mary Terwilliger has such a heart for preschoolers and children and has been in the preschool/children’s hall for the last 16 years – on Sundays and during the week with Jackson Christian Preschool. She answered the call to JMBC’s Preschool and Children Ministry Director in December 2017. Mary has often been heard saying, “there is nothing sweeter than hearing and seeing God’s Word through their eyes.” She passionately wants those she serves with as well as the children and their families to know that they are loved and precious in the eyes of the One who created them.
Mary received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education in December 2018. She is committed continued growth both spiritually and professionally, always striving to be the best Mary God has called her to be. Her purpose is found in Psalm 78:7, “Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deed but keep His commands.”
Minister of Music

Ian Hardee was called as JMBC’s Pastor of Worship in August 2021. Ian was born in North Carolina, then moved to New Mexico where he grew up adventuring outside, immersing himself in stories, and playing in the latest band he had formed.
After high school, Ian attended Wayland Baptist University to study music and religion, met his wife and began his first full time ministry position in 2016.
Ian is usually found with a book in his hands, telling someone about his most recent hobby or serving as a human jungle gym to his children. He and his family are thrilled to be serving and leading others to worship our mighty Savior here at Jackson.
