Our Curriculum
Digging Into The Heart of God brings a fresh approach to growing a lifelong relationship with God. As kids explore God’s character throughout the Bible, God transforms them from the inside out. With the Heart of God curriculum, kids discover what it means to reflect the heart of God in everyday life.
Scope & Sequence
Sunday Mornings – 9:15am
Life Group
At JMBC Kidz, we equip children, 1st – 5th grade with an understanding of their identity through God’s eyes, that they belong and are loved by God no matter what and were created for a purpose.
Children experience God’s love as they dig into God’s Word with members of the JMBC’s Kidz team. Each week children learn and grow as team members share Biblical truths, creating deeper Bible experiences through age appropriate hands on games, activities and music, establishing the foundation of a lifelong relationship with God.
Sunday Mornings – 10:30am
Kidz Church
After a time to gather and worship with their family in the sanctuary, children dismiss to Kidz Church to hear a message of their own where they will learn to sit and hear the words being spoken and take notes followed by a time of group discussions and activities helping them to discover church is more than a place you go, it is something they do.
TeamKID: All In
As followers of Jesus, we are called to be all in as we love Him with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind.
TeamKID: All In will lead kids through a biblical study of key spiritual disciplines such as prayer, worship, and service.
Wednesday Evenings – 6:15pm
Children In Action
Children love to share God’s love and children love to learn by doing. Through missions discipleship, children learn to share His love in multiple ways, from collecting school supplies for back-to-school backpacks to passing out water at sports events, from taking a meal to a homebound community member to even sharing a smile or a prayer with someone who needs it.

Safety & Security
Safety and security is a priority with us. We take special precautions to ensure their classrooms are free of obstacles and hazards so they can learn and play in a safe environment. All of our workers have a current background check on file in the church office.
Meet Our Preschool and Children’s Director – Mary Terwilliger
Mary Terwilliger has such a heart for preschoolers and children and has been in the preschool/children’s hall for the last 16 years – on Sundays and during the week with Jackson Christian Preschool. She answered the call to JMBC’s Preschool and Children Ministry Director in December 2017. Mary has often been heard saying, “There is nothing sweeter than hearing and seeing God’s Word through the eyes of preschoolers”. She passionately wants those she serves with as well as the children and their families to know that they are loved and precious in the eyes of the One who created them. You could say that her purpose is found in Psalm 78:7, “Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deed but keep His commands”.
Mary received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education in December 2018. She is committed continued growth both spiritually and professionally, always striving to be the best Mary God has called her to be.
