“Oh sing unto the Lord a new song…”

Psalm 96:1

Music Worship

Music is a vital part of worship at Jackson Memorial.  In our desire to glorify God and boldly approach His throne, we combine hymns and contemporary worship songs in our worship services, utilizing congregational singing, choir, soloists, and a variety of instruments in preparation for the hearing of His Word.

Choir

The choir practices on Wednesday nights at 7:30pm.  We have a great time preparing for each week and seasonal specials, enjoying a time of fellowship and singing. There are also opportunities to participate in special seasonal productions that often include drama as well as music.

Worship Team

Instrumentalists and Vocalists are significant in the Music Worship experience.

These music leaders meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday evening for rehearsal.

Handbell Ministry

The Handbell Choir practices at 5:45pm on Wednesday.

Handbells bring special beauty in music to the worship experience.

There is still room for new members!

Audio/Visual Ministry

Volunteers provide audio/visual support for all services. AV volunteers work the sound board during the worship services, balancing the sound of the vocals and instruments.  Other AV Ministry members run the computer software, managing the overhead slides, and keeping up with the songs and message.  We rotate team members every week – training is provided.

Have a song in your heart? Has God gifted you musically in any way? Do you feel He is calling you to use that gift? Even if you’re not sure, we’d love to talk with you about it and have you join us for a test drive.
